Best WordPress Host

The most popular, popular and robust web publishing platform is WordPress. It's free, but you pay for hosting. I've used WordPress on various servers and here are some frequently asked questions:

“Who is the best WordPress host?”

Of course it depends on what you're looking for, but here are some great WordPress shared and VPS hosts.

Best WordPress Shared Host

If you're just starting out as a blogger, I can't recommend a better host than Bluehost.

Bluehost shared hosting is cheap, has lots of powerful tools, and the support is pretty impressive. Support may not respond as quickly, but at least you have a human answering your questions instead of copying and pasting answers.BlueHost is one of the largest web hosts, with over 450,000 We host more than . I strongly recommend it.

He is second only to Bluehost, and Hostgator is highly recommended as well.

Hostgator was founded in his 2002 by Brent Oxley, who is used to hosting in college dorms. HostGator is much bigger than Bluehost, with over 2,000,000 domains and about 1% of the world's internet traffic. They often prove to be reliable hosts with excellent support.

Best WordPress VPS Host

If you're serious about blogging and want to increase the speed and reliability of your website, consider VPS hosting.

Shared hosting is cheaper, but sharing resources can compromise speed and security. Virtual Private Servers (VPS) are the next step. The website resides on computers divided among multiple servers, each running its own operating system.

The best VPS host for WordPress in my opinion is Dreamhost.

Dreamhost offers affordable prices, great support (which exceeded my expectations!), and great recommendations. Some may prefer cPanel or Plesk, but Dreamhost has its own control panel. Pricing starts at $15/month. You can change the RAM level from the backend. Simply slide the slider to change the value - no reboot required!

Other highly recommended VPS hosts are:

Rackspace and VPS.net.

Rackspace runs on many clusters, so it has built-in protection and redundancy. Multiple versions of your website are created so your website is always up, even if your server goes down. It has its own cloud control panel. Cloud Site™ starting at $149/month. Rackspace is used by renowned technology blogger Robert Scoble.

Another cloud-based host is his VPS.net. They will move your site for you! If you want it, you should buy cPanel. Examples of prize packages include:

25 GB storage, 500 GB network transfer for an average of 125,000 visitors for £40 per month. VPS.net is used by SEO blogger Joost de Valk (Yoast).

But first, what should you look for in a WordPress blog host?

Basic WordPress Host Requirements If you're running a WordPress blog, it should be on a Linux host running Apache. I'm running WordPress on a Windows IIS host and it's possible but problematic.

Otherwise, the requirements specified for WordPress sites are for PHP 5.2.4+ and MySQL 5.0+. But you'll be hard-pressed to find a Linux host that doesn't provide these!

Another requirement is the Apache module mod_rewrite for creating SEO friendly page URLs. Again, most hosts running Apache have this module. However, some hosts require overcoming some hurdles to enable pretty permalinks, such as adding code to the .htaccess file. However, all hosts recommended here offer custom permalinks that are easy and efficient.
